We're pleased to offer bespoke guided rides throughout South Wales on some of the best gravel routes around!
We can cater for groups between 2-10 riders and have hire bikes available if you don't want to use/have your own.
What to expect:
On arrival at our bicycle cafe, we'll serve you coffee and cake while we give you a quick debrief on the bike, the route and safety precautions.
You'll need to sign our terms and conditions before we set off, but we'll explain everything in full and answer any questions you may have.
Plan2ride's guided ride will start and finish at our hub in Tongwynlais; Cardiff's northern gateway to the outdoors. The route will take in the best local natural features nearest Cardiff including Garth Hill, Heol y Fforest and Rudry Ridge. Leaving the hub north on the Taff Trail you'll head towards Gwaelod y Garth village via Pentrych before summiting Garth Hill and descending off its northern slopes towards Upper Boat. Crossing back onto the Taff Trail you'll head south into Heol y Fforest and beyond on either back roads, tracks or continuous gravel connecting to Rudry Ridge via Caerphilly mountain, Draethen the grounds of Ruperra Castle and finishing at the base of Castle Coch and descending into Tongwynlais to refuel.
It's mixed terrain and varying gradient, designed to give riders a sense of adventure and awesome vistas, all within touching distance of the city.
Riding ability: Moderate, some off-road experience would be advantageous but not essential
